We Cannot Stay Silent

To our Black Sisters, friends, and family, Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority sees you and stands with you.  Know that we are here for you now and always will be.  Your lives matter.

Our hearts are with the family and friends of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery as they mourn the senseless deaths of their loved ones.  We remember them, along with every other Black life lost to police brutality, racial injustice, and white supremacy.

We cannot and will not stay silent.  Kappa Delta Phi NAS does not stand for racism, xenophobia, police brutality, or any other form of social injustice that impacts communities of color.  We ask our members to use their voice to condemn all acts of bigotry, violence, and hatred. Regardless if you encounter it at the dinner table, on your campus, in your workplace, please speak out against acts of racism & injustice and to work to promote inclusion and diversity.  It is our duty as community leaders to be part of the solution.

We have always valued the community involvement of our membership through their leadership and integrity. We are encouraging all of our members to continue their community involvement by taking a stand and being a part of the change. Educate yourselves, donate, sign petitions, or join local movements to help end the violence occurring in our local and national communities. Do not allow oppression, fear or anger keep you from taking a stand. We have the power to create the change we wish to see.

The following resources are for our Sisters who are looking to educate themselves and start taking action now.  The resources below are not exhaustive and we encourage you to reach out to your local Black Lives Matter chapter to learn more about what you can do in your community.
